Hello, readers! Today’s miscellaneous article is about my 15th birthday party which was celebrated on June 17th. My actual birthday is on June 23rd if you were wondering. I invited some friends over, and we played a game and swam in my pool. The bulk of this article is mostly a review of the gifts I received and why I enjoy each one of them. Book Safe My friends, Triniti and Kaeli, gave me a book safe that they made out of an old book that they had. Although in the first picture, it looks like a regular book, it is evident that it is a book safe in the second picture. The book is titled The Life and Death of Adolf Hitler, and is a 1973 edition. Triniti even let me borrow the actual book so I could read it. I might to a book review on it later. In today’s article, I will be discussing types of books, genres, and descriptions. There are many types of literature, and I hope to provide a sufficient list. I will start this article off with the differences between a book and a novel. Most people use this word interchangeably so I was somewhat surprised to find out that there are quite a few differences between these words. All novels are books, but not all books are novels. Refer to the chart below for the differences:   Also note these definitions from the online Merriam-Webster dictionary: Novel: “an invented prose narrative that is usually long and complex and deals especially with human experience through a usually connected sequence of events.” Book: Because this definition was so extensive, I decided to summarize it. Today, we will be continuing our study of Precedents to Geography. This ended up being a much longer series than I thought it would be. I am expecting to write about four parts to this series currently. Even if you have read Precedents of Geography ~ Part 1 , I would advise you to go back and take a quick glance at the article to refresh your mind.   Welcome back to my blog! In today’s article I will be doing a summary of the beginning of the book of Genesis and this will tie in with our study of Mesopotamia in a later history article. If you didn’t read Approaches to History and the Inerrancy of Scripture , it would be a good idea to read that first, or else you might be a little lost. The Bible begins with this statement: “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1). This lays the foundation for the rest of God’s Word. If someone won’t even believe in God’s account of creation, why would they believe Christ’s work recorded in the gospels? When it comes to the Bible, you believe all of it or none of it.
