Today’s article is about my 2018 New Year’s Resolutions. This article is completely devoted to those 2018 resolutions. By the way, comment below on what your 2018 resolutions are. So, at the top of my list would definitely be to be ready to learn from the lessons that God will teach me in 2018. But because I don’t know which lessons I will find the most notable I didn’t include it with my list. 1. Completely rewrite my novel. Basically, I wrote a novel in 2017 according to my 2017 resolution. I mentioned this novel before, and the profile is on my writing blog. His Plan for Me is about a young author who learns to trust in God’s plan for her life. It combines some of my favorite things to read like a murder mystery and a theme that the reader can learn from. At this point in the process, it makes no sense because I didn’t plan what I was going to write. It reads like several different plots have been combined into one manuscript. Welcome to Histories and Mysteries. As promised, today’s article is about the lessons I have learned in 2017. Throughout our lives, we learn many lessons either from personal experiences or the wisdom of others. Here are some of the lessons that changed my life in 2017. 1. It’s okay to be different. I have yet to find a person on earth who shares my love of modern history, my convictions in politics, and my urge to write. It may be because such a person does not exist. Well, that’s a bummer; now I won’t have a best friend forever. Not exactly. In the beginning of the year, I had a circle of great friends. Then my friends got to high school and found “best friends” of their own. Their personalities and their likes/dislikes changed too. This year especially, I have found it extremely difficult to relate to anyone. But through these experiences, I was much comforted to know that I don’t have to be like everyone else. All I need to do is follow the Lord and what He tells me to do....

Happy New Year’s 2018! I have been very busy the past week spending time with my family and recovering from bronchitis. Today’s article is about top ten highlights of 2017. This doesn’t include anything lesson-related because next week I will post an article about some of the things I’ve learned in 2017. 1. I began writing regularly. In 2016, I wrote a few scripts to perform with some friends and I wrote my first short story (in the literary sense as defined by Edgar Allan Poe by the length of his short stories). But in 2017, I aspired to finish my first novel. And the only way to that was to keep writing. My friend, Anna, indirectly introduced me to many great writing blogs that were an encouragement in my writing process. I must confess that I have been pretty lazy with writing since Thanksgiving.
